We are a non-profit, all volunteer club. We are an independent fan club that is recognized by Lucasfilm Ltd. LLC, but are not endorsed or overseen by them.

What personal data we collect and why we collect it
Comments
Comments are not taken on the site unless you are a member of our forums. When members leave comments on the site we collect the data shown in the comments form, and also the IP address and browser user agent string to help spam detection.
An anonymized string created from your email address (also called a hash) may be provided to the Gravatar service to see if you are using it. The Gravatar service privacy policy is available here: https://automattic.com/privacy/. After approval of your comment, your profile picture is visible to the public in the context of your comment.
Media
You cannot upload media to the site unless you are a member of our forums. If you upload images or video to the website, you should avoid uploading images with embedded location data (EXIF GPS) included. Visitors to the website can download and extract any location data from images on the website.
Contact forms
Contact information entered into the forms or emailed to us will be kept digitally in our email account. We keep this information to be able to converse with you and to be able to contact you for future events. If you would like your information to be removed at any time, you may email us and we will delete your information.
Cookies
If you leave a comment on our site you may opt-in to saving your name, email address and website in cookies. These are for your convenience so that you do not have to fill in your details again when you leave another comment. These cookies will last for one year.
If you visit our login page, we will set a temporary cookie to determine if your browser accepts cookies. This cookie contains no personal data and is discarded when you close your browser.
When you log in, we will also set up several cookies to save your login information and your screen display choices. Login cookies last for two days, and screen options cookies last for a year. If you select “Remember Me”, your login will persist for two weeks. If you log out of your account, the login cookies will be removed.
If you edit or publish an article, an additional cookie will be saved in your browser. This cookie includes no personal data and simply indicates the post ID of the article you just edited. It expires after 1 day.
Analytics cookies. Google Analytics also sets cookies to recognize returning visitors and measure how the site is used. You can refuse or delete cookies through your browser settings — the site will still work normally.
Embedded content from other websites
Articles on this site may include embedded content (e.g. videos, images, articles, etc.). Embedded content from other websites behaves in the exact same way as if the visitor has visited the other website.
These websites may collect data about you, use cookies, embed additional third-party tracking, and monitor your interaction with that embedded content, including tracking your interaction with the embedded content if you have an account and are logged in to that website.
Analytics
We use a third-party analytics service to understand how visitors find and use our website, so we can improve it. This service collects information such as the pages you visit, how long you stay, the general geographic region you are in (city or region level, not a precise location), your device and browser type, and the website or link that referred you to us.
Google Analytics. We use Google Analytics, a service provided by Google LLC. It uses cookies and similar technologies to collect and analyze information about how this site is used, and that information is transmitted to and stored by Google. You can read Google’s Privacy Policy here, and opt out of Google Analytics on all websites by installing Google’s opt-out browser add-on.
Link tracking. Some of our printed materials, QR codes, t-shirts, and social media posts use tagged links that tell us which material brought a visitor to the site — for example, whether someone arrived from a business card or an event QR code. These tags identify the material, not the individual person.
We use this information in aggregate to understand what is working. We do not use analytics to identify individual visitors, and we do not sell this information or use it for advertising.
Who we share your data with
We do not sell your data, and we do not participate in advertising or marketing programs.
We do share limited website-usage data with Google Analytics (provided by Google LLC), which processes it on our behalf under its own privacy policy. Non-personal data collected by our website host may also be retained by them, subject to their privacy policy.
Information you send us through our forms or by email is seen only by club officers. We do not share it with anyone else.
If you request a password reset, your IP address will be included in the reset email.
How long we retain your data
If you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely. This is so we can recognize and approve any follow-up comments automatically instead of holding them in a moderation queue.
For users that register on our website (if any), we also store the personal information they provide in their user profile. All users can see, edit, or delete their personal information at any time (except they cannot change their username). Website administrators can also see and edit that information.
Any contact information collected through our forms or email will be kept as long as we have an active relationship with you. Once your information is considered inactive, it will be purged in bulk with other users on an irregular basis.
Analytics data. Google Analytics retains visitor and event data for a limited period, which we have set to 14 months. Aggregate reports that cannot identify an individual may be kept longer.
What rights you have over your data
If you have an account on this site, or have left comments, you can request to receive an exported file of the personal data we hold about you, including any data you have provided to us. You can also request that we erase any personal data we hold about you. This does not include any data we are obliged to keep for administrative, legal, or security purposes.
You may also opt out of our analytics tracking at any time by using the Google Analytics opt-out add-on linked above, by enabling your browser’s “Do Not Track” or tracking-prevention setting, or by blocking cookies in your browser.
Children’s privacy
Our club welcomes families. Anyone under 18 who attends must be accompanied by a participating parent or guardian, and we ask that a parent or guardian complete the Practice RSVP form on behalf of anyone under 18.
We do not knowingly collect personal information online from children under 13 without parental involvement. If you believe a child has submitted information to us, please contact us and we will delete it.
Where we send your data
We only send your data to our email server that is encrypted and accessible by club officers.
Visitor comments may be checked through an automated spam detection service.
